Atmosphere and service has always been good! The food, okay, usually the food here is actually quite good. The fish on the lunch menu is often fresh and flavoursome and the dressings they use on the salad, also good! There is one menu item that definitely needs attention and I’m only writing this review because they refused to take the feedback directly. The BLT has roasted tomato’s which is great, however it’s one very small soggy roasted tomato so 90% of the BLT is lettuce and one slather of bacon for $14. Bread, lettuce, a slather of bacon.

Exceptional food every time. We regularly drive almost an hour to come here for breakfast, and it's absolutely worth the trek. The food is always excellent as is the service. The staff seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. And today even though it was 9am in the morning I tried one of their mocktails (Pineapple and passionfruit spritz) and it was to die for.

Ordered bacon and eggs on sourdough $17 and received a pice of bacon with an overdone egg on a dry burger bun, asked for butter and sauce got charged for it. Head waitress needs a good slap or to be replaced, she was very rude to our waitress she yelled at her three times in front of customers this really saddened us, she also challenged me about the charge for butter and sauce which was already paid for, I just wanted to tell her that she was very rude to her coworkers and probably needs to go to customer service school. We will never go back.

The Galley was a last minute lunch decision today and we are so glad we did. Greeted like regular customers by happy welcoming staff and taken to our seats with a water view. We immediately felt very comfortable, it has been awhile since we have visited a restaurant with such happy staff with huge easy smiles and a want to assist you with your needs. Big Well Done! Now to the food. The menu is varied and designed to have something for everyone. My husband had the special which was a Pork belly and fig salad which consisted of rocket, finely sliced radish, prosciutto, apple, and of course pork belly and figs. He was very impressed and stated that the combination was perfection. The pork belly was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly with a light crackle on the edges. I went for a steak and bacon burger, steak was tender, bacon was deliciously smoky, the salad consisted of tomatoes, cheese, beetroot, and greens. The size was perfect and was served with crispy hot chips. Highly recommended and will return. Excellent work The Galley
